The Holistic Care

Before I was initiated into Usui Reiki  I had heard various cases of dramatic healing with energies, prayers etc. Here, by dramatic i mean - near full recovery within a very short span of time... like 2 sittings. A friend of mine also has healed a person suffering from a crippling, 2-year old tumour in 15 mins. (He also had been doing kundalini yoga).

I have not noticed any dramatic results in my 2 years of (irregular) Reiki practice.

My question:
Is dramatic healing not possible and just something we hear of about 3rd parties?
If it is possible, then what would it take to be such a healer?
Or is the desire to be such a healer itself the deterrent, as it is too egotistical?

My humble apologies if my question sounds too naive or basic for this forum.

Dear Masooma,
Well, I too have seen and experienced such a dramatic results in some individuals as you have mentioned. But it depends on various factors. I suggest we Give reiki without expectation of return. It does not often bring an instant cure of any condition. So we should not have any unreasonable expectations of Reiki healing.
