Attunement Question.

Post by foley »

Hello there! I recently joined this site and made an account.Ive been interested in Reiki for quite a while,Ive told my son about what reiki is and what it does.Hes been interested in it for awhile aswell.

Anways my son has asked me if he could get a free attunement , he is only 13 years old. I'm a bit worried that if he does get his attunement it might do something bad to him because of his young age.

So my question is, Would getting an Attunement for a 13 year old cause anything bad? Would it work?

Thanks for helping!

A Reiki attunement is the process by which a person receives the ability to give Reiki treatments and pass on the attunements. Once attuned to Reiki, anyone can access this energy by just intention.
It is amazingly simple techniques transferred to the student by the Reiki Master through this process of attunement or empowerment or sometimes initiations.  Its use is not dependent on ones intellectual capacity or spiritual development and, therefore, is available to everyone. It has been successfully
taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds, but a mature and
caring attitude is essential.

Though there is no such age limit for initiation in (Usui) Reiki, but it is recommended to be at least 9 years old to initiate in kundalini based healing systems like, Kundalini Reiki, Ayurveda Reiki etc..Because upto that age nadis are not mature enough to retain the (max) pranas.

best regards,
Mohan :D

Master Mohan,

I have a question about passing the Kundalini reiki.

After reading few manuals about Kundalini reiki, most of them are using distant attunement method to pass this reiki. If the person is sitting next to us, is there any other way to pass this reiki? I feel ackward to do a distant attunement although the person is sitting next to me. I'm sorry for the funny/weird question. I'm just wondering.

Kundalini Reiki is mainly performed remotely. Still, If the person is sitting next to you, you may place your hands on the person's shoulders.

why should we feel awkward?
initiation process in kundalini reiki is extremely simple. and it works just fine.
Hope you will enjoy working with it now.
love,
Mohan :D
