WHO IS RAM (on Ramnavami)

Post by chandresh_kumar »

In Hindu Mythology, we find, there used be a person whose name was Ram and story of his life is written in a book named Ramayana.

But we need to understand, Who really is Ram?

Ram cannot be defined as an one man. As far as I understand Ram is the collection of qualities of many goodness and each quality is possible in any of us, in me, in you, in any one.

The same way, we may define Ravana, Ravana was a Satan, not actually, he is the composition of badness. However no person has all good and all bad, that is why Ravana is a normal person like any of us.

Is it laugh? :hI No :n0 , Ravana was satan, his food was Mutton, Liqur, etc. His intentions for Sita were bad. He loved his sister and did bad for her. These were his badness... Just analyze...Cant we defined as Ravana... NOW IS IT LAUGH?

But it is a matter of laugh, we donot have qualities of Ravana, he was so intelligent, Guru of Poltical Sciences, a deep devotee of Lord Shiva... Are we?

Even after, all qualities, Ravana became symbol of badness and Ram became a piller of goodness...We must remove Ravana from our heart and stay with Ram... Means remove bad habits and move for good habits...Bad habits are having 10 heads and good only One.... The essense of whole Ramayana is this..

It is foolishness to understand Ram and Ravana are just persons. Ram and Ravana are personification of Good and Bad.

Now, how to remove Ravan hidden in us?

By going to temple and Pray to the idol of Ram, offer him flowers, fruits and some money. Make prasad and distribute it to people who are dieting?

NO! NEVER ! NOT AT ALL!!!! NO-ONE CAN FIND RAM LIKE THIS.

Ravan will remove by self-analyzing, by watching negative/bad thoughts/habits that arise in your mind, without analyzing yourself, negative thoughts will not move.

What remains after that is a shining goodness. You will be a great personality who performing only good deeds and helping people and all that.

But it is all useless if there are bad thoughts in you that you haven’t let remove. They will grow gradully and hidden, in the back of your mind and one day when Ram is sleeping, they awake with all its powers and bring out the Ravan from you.

That is why let the bad thoughts get away from you, slowly and not allow the Ravan to grow in any case. Ram should be there in your heart permanently....

Many Wishes for Ramnavami... The Holy Birthday of Ram.... IN THE HEARTS OF ALL INCLUDING YOU AND ME... :F0

Dear Chandresh,
Nicely interpreted and thanks for sharing your insight on Ram and Ravan. Yes, we need to understand this with new understanding.
Ram is a virtuous character leaves remarkable impressions on the human mind.
I remember song from hindi movie “Swadesh”
“… Man se Raven jo nikale Ram uske man me hain…”
So, let us remove Raven from our mind.

Many thanks Mohan ji and Pradeep for kind appreciation. Yes Mohan ji,

"Ram jo base man me to Ravan ko jaanaa hoga,
Man ki vyadhi haTaane ko Ram ko basaanaa hoga !!"

"राम जो बसे मन में तो रावण को जाना होगा ,
मन की व्याधि हटाने को राम को बसाना होगा !!"

Thanks Again !!!
