Dear fellow members I seek some advice on a situation...

I have made new aquantance thru my husband whom I have sent catnip herbs to thru my husband. Have finally met her as she desired me to have a keychain she made...and as I do beadwork also we have began a freindship. I have received knowledge of her mental status and she receives many medicines for mental problems. She has a love of crystals and at one point in her life was into Wicca. I asked if she would like me to run Reiki on her...She had not heard of Reiki but was very receptive to idea of positive energies coming to her. She has told me that even before I ran energies for her..that being around me makes her feel very peaceful. (I have been told this in the past by others also..that my presence can be calming) Part of my problem..is that she is a very giving person. Before I even had ran energies for her..she insisted on giving me a very exspensive ring. It was one she no longer wears and I did resist her offer at first. She seemed to get so insistent..that I finally agreed to accept it..on the guideline that if she ever wants it back she is to just let me know. After the first energy I ran for her..she was very happy as she had bruises which went away! She has a very dependant nature and her mother passed away a year ago...She was diagnosed as Bi Polar when she was 18 she is 42 now. I advised her to (Not stop taking her prescribed medicines) I have not ran hands on energies daily ..but have sent her distance Reiki each night at a time we have set up. (She has set her phone to tone remind her at prescribed time) My concerns are that with her mental state and giving nature I find it hard to refuse her without upsetting her!!!! I even told he to not take it wrong but..I didnt want her to think she needs to buy my friendship. I am willing to run energies for her...I would like to see her have the confidance for herself..as I may be moving in future and dont want her to suffer setback from friendship loss as the loss of her mother! Mental issues have been diagnosed as severe for her! When I run energies for her..I have ran both CKR and SHK.Ssorry this is so long..I just need advice as to energies and receiving re-imbursements Thank You

At first thought I can say you can accept the gifts. If it pleases someone & without causing trouble to anyone, why not?

Thank you for your response. I started my aquaintance with her..because my husband told me she needed .a true friend. Recently she met other neighbors where we live who are of the darker element where I live. (Theives..Drug users) They befreinded her and once she allowed them into her home they took advantage of her. Stole things and borrowed money they refuse to admit they borrowed.They were harrassing her when she stood up to them and began to block them from her life. (This problem seems to have been resolved) When I first ran Reiki for her..it was because she was so stressed out because they knew of her mental diagnoses and were calling her and threatening her. I asked her today how this issue was now and she told me it was fine. She isnt fearful of running into them at this time.(she told me .."now they dont even look at me!")
I dont know a lot about Bi Polar or Scitzophrenic personalities. I have done some research and even researched in connection to Reiki. I know Bi popar is fluctuating moods ..My main goal is to offer her freindship and hopefully some peace of mind.
In some ways she has been good for me and my use of energies. Prior to her I have sent energies thru forum and once for my husband. I receive no feedback from internet usages and unfortunately my husband claimed the Reiki did not help him. Since the first time I ran it for him..he has not agreed to allowing me to run it for him again.At least not yet..I have also ran Reiki for my pets..(they dont give much for feedback either)

Can you give attunements, and then practice reiki on each other?

At this point I have only received Reiki I and Reiki II attunements and as far as my husband he has no interests in healing.. as being a conduit ..at least. He does not begrudge me my views and journey...but he is set in his own ways. I think maybe when he begins to see some definate results from my running Reiki with others...he will be more receptive. (I truly hope so...for his health has played a major factor in my wishes to accomplish being able to heal others) (be a conduit) For I know it is not actually me doing the healing

Dear Christine,
Your husband has a neutral view. So its fine, could have been worse. It is not advisable(strictly I may say) to convince somebody to take an Attunement or healing. Also please don't hold any attachment to the outcome. This is very important.
Since you have a strong intent of healing you are already contributing towards the healing of your husband, friend or anyone else in a way not quiet obvious.
Carry on your good work and rest assured things always change for the better.

I had already read two of those links But I will admit........Sometimes I need read the same thing several times for a chance for the true understanding of what I read to sink in. Since I started my spiritual journey and been able to get online..I have done much researching and trying to put to practice what I read and resonate with. I know that at one point I was bombarding my mind with too much information at the same time. I had to tell myself to slow down and to just take it slow. I realize that I am better to not try to (push for a specific outcome with the Reiki) When I run it I believe I am making (at least a conscious effort) to just visualize the subject as (happy and in good health) But could it be that after I initially invision them as happy and healthy...in my attempts to not "force" an outcome...I am not running highest support for the energy? Or does it make sense that "in attempts to not try too hard..end up trying too hard?

If you don't want to use real names, making up something would be helpful. I didn't have your husband in mind when I asked if you could give an attunement. The woman you are sending reiki to on a regular basis might like giving herself reiki, and she might like being able to send reiki to you instead of only receiving it. That way she would have something to give you other than the kinds of actual physical gifts that you don't seem to feel entirely comfortable about receiving. For that matter, with her permission, you could add her information to the threads for requesting attunements so that she doesn't even have to join, yet she can receive the attunements.

I will speak with her to see if she would be open or interested in either direction. Our close friendship has only recently manufactured..I will test the waters and see what she thinks.
