Dear Mohan,
How is the Haldi ceremony going!!!!!
Wish you all the best for the Shubh Mahurrat tomorrow.
Love to you from me, my family, friends & THC members.
God Bless.
Haldi ceremony is a ritual performed prior to a Wedding day in India by all irrespective of Religions.
Haldi means Turmeric.
The Bride & Bridegroom are applied a paste of Turmeric root in their own respective houses. few close relatives & Friends are present. After the ceremony the Bride & Bridegroom both don't live their respective houses till the Wedding
Turmeric is a blood purifier & skin cleanser & toner. Sandalwood paste is also mixed sometimes.
Besides there are other symbolic & religious meanings. Many use Henna paintings on the hands, especially the females in the family
Mohan, Wish you a fine Haldi Ceremony

Hi Steve and All,
That was very interesting! I had read about tumeric being used in healing for tumors and how curry can be helpful because of its tumeric content, but had not heard about this ceremony before or the blood purification properties of tumeric. Very interesting and helpful!
I know they have already been married, since, but I also wish Mohan and his bride a wonderful blessed life together, full of love, joy, and abundance.
Love and Peace,
Erin
