What Does Reiki Do To Machines?

Big Hello, to all reading this! 
I have a question about "non-living" things. I have read that people Reiki their cars, their computers, their coffee makers, and any number of mechanical things. What happens when Reiki is given to a machine?
I am imagining that I already have the answer and just want to see if I understand.  Since Reiki balances energies, a machine would work more harmoniously? 

If you give Reiki to your water, does it make it easier for the body to use? Do you think it helps when your water has too many chemicals in it?

Can Reiki be given to a space, like a room?  If so, does this mean it balances the energy of the room, too? If so, how do you do this?

Well dear Myst
You already have the main part of the answer you request about machines...
Before 2 days my girlfriend had a frog-doll in her palms,which had bought before months...
This frog has a small mechanism with battery for the reason to produce frog-like sounds...
The batter run out of energy before a month...
While she was holding it she told me that she noticed that the frog...absorbs Reiki!
After 5 mins the frogy started to make some noises but in slow motion...
We decided to experiment with it,so she gave Reiki to it for 10 more minutes after I gave for other 10 minutes...
Suddently the frog started to make sounds normaly and without the needed presure on its back were the triger is!
Reiki is a kind of energy which frequencies are very close to these of the electric energy...
It is recomented to charge with Reiki food,water,medicines and and personal items even if they were shampoo or creams for body care or if they were jewelery etc...
Reiki does enhance the properties of everything,it also cleans things and rooms from negative energies...
There are many ways to clean a room or an object with Reiki, it will help us more if you tell us at which level of which modality are you at this time...  The more simple way is to hold the object between your palms and start the Reiki flow with the intention to clean it! If the object is too big or you would like to clean a room then just visualise it between your hands!
You will notice that Reiki flows for such cases too!
And it works...

Dear Erin,
Reiki is a wholly positive energy. it works on things you have stated.
I use it on my computer. I spend hours on my computer. My Intel Celeron 366 machine with 256 Ram runs on Windows XP as smoothly as any modern machines I know. I am a Computer Hardware specialist by profession & up to date with the latest. Besides my old CRT monitor doesn't give me any glare problems.
This is just one thing.
Yesterday while chatting with John he told me how his girlfriend repaired a showpiece toy frog with Reiki,
Reiki can be used to balance a room & protect it. To free the air of harmful radicals.
You can use it on water to get rid of radicals. Also on medicines to reduce the side-effects.
You can almost use it anywhere. As the Beatles said, "Here, There, Everywhere"

I am Usui level 1 and Surya Shakti for Reiki.  My next attunement is coming up this month. Until now, I used my guides/high self to clear spaces and discordant energies FOR me. This would be similar, in that Reiki is doing the clearing/balancing of the energies. Thank you, for your information. You both explain in a way that is easy for me to understand. I appreciate that. Good teachers!
