Hi Everyone, 
I have a question about Reiki and have not been able to find the answer (yet). I read somewhere (don't ask where, I forgot ) that Reiki is a wonderful method of healing for everything EXCEPT tumors. The source said that Reiki actually helps tumors to grow.

It is my understanding that Reiki can do no harm, working only for the highest good. I believe the information I received about the tumors is false and that tumors are not affected negatively by Reiki.

This both bothers me and confuses me (add fear), also hindering my belief about my intention and results when I am using Reiki.

Can anyone enlighten me about tumors and Reiki? Thanks, for your help!!

Dear Erin,
Reiki can cure tumors. Any information otherwise is totally foolish. Please tell me the source of that gross misinformation.        
I have personally channeled Reiki to  heal people with brain tumors, thyroid tumors & cancerous tumors. some take time & some few days. Have known children healing tumors in a matter of hours after attunements.
always visualize your patient healed when you send Reiki.

Thank you, very much for the quick reply!
I actually have a pet cat that has tumors (on her underside just below the chest, under the skin) and they appeared to be getting smaller for the past several months. I was also using some other modalities, because I did not wish to cause an increase (and she had other issues, too).

I KNEW inside that the tumor information I got was incorrect, but it still caused enough doubt (better safe than sorry type of thing).
The main reason I brought this up is because her tumors seem to be growing again and I thought about using Reiki, but remembered seeing that notice online.

I don't think it was here, but I surf alot and just came across it on somebody's web page, or in a forum. I just can't seem to remember where, now. I did find a yahoo groups sight that said it was a rumor they had heard of before and that it was false. Something about chi and how ordinary chi can grow tumors and how Reiki is different. So, I can see how somebody might misunderstand. There is so much misinformation out there. That is why I thought I would ask here.

If you come to the point about Reiki and its discovery. It comes to the higher source/god who has given us this gift with no fault or flaws its there for a reason.  We all know the higher source/god wouldn't ever gives us a gift with the intention to make harm or to cause bodily tumours, illness, cancers, etc to amplify its problem to make things worse.  Just think of it this way > If the higher source/god would give us a gift of evil and harm then today would have been a very different world.

Thank you, for your kind response. I do agree that the Reiki energy comes from Source/Universe/God/Goddess/Spirit/Insert your deity here.  

I also believe that many people do move blindly without considering consequences, (can I? may I? should I?). Because somebody can, does not mean somebody should, at least from my view of the world.

There are many beliefs about what is possible for us in this physical world of ours. Some say that you must get verbal permission to help to heal someone. Others say, it is only necessary to obtain the soul's permission. Still others say permission is not necessary if it is for the highest good.

Please forgive the "I believes" and spiritual notes below. They are not intended to conflict, confront, or be egotistical. They are only here to show that what I believe is MY belief and that I do NOT intend that anyone else share my view of the Universe, just to show how SOME others may have different views and so Reiki has many "potential" possibilities, until it is understood by the individual better.

That is the world as you see it and may be quite different from many other's views. I believe that none is wrong, just that our individual models of the world/universe may not hold up for many other individuals.

This was so that the Universe/God/etc could experience being. So, you see how we may have different views of the same place. Kind of like viewing a car wreck from different positions on the street. Each of us sees the same thing, but our experience will be quite different depending on the filter of our mind/beliefs and where we are standing/sitting/facing.

I only put this out there, because I believe that I may have misunderstood what you mean and in so doing, maybe some others will as well.

I believe that ALL energy comes from Universe/Source/God/Goddess/Etc, whether "good/bad". I believe that there is no good/bad, only the illusion (which I am still trying to see through).

I also believe that I am changing so quickly right now, that I may need the help of feedback from others, to see if what I think I believe, is really my own truth.

I also believe in taking responsibility for my actions, which is why I felt the need to ask others about their experience with tumors and Reiki before treating a being that has tumors, since I had seen information online that tumors would grow using Reiki. 

I also believe that "What you believe is what you experience", whether harmonious or disharmonious. So, your beliefs serve you very well, indeed. They are just not my beleifs, you see? I have to find answers that will serve my belief system, so that I can help others with an open heart and free of doubt.

I did not understand that Reiki is intelligent energy. To me, this says "being" and any helpful being would never do anything to help discordant energy to grow in another. That is quite comforting.

Of course, if I had only trusted in my own KNOWING, the question would have never made it to the boards. This leads me to believe that the message will serve others, who are also just beginning this particular healing path.

I hope I have not broken any "rules" by writing some of my spiritual beliefs here. I only intended to show my ignorance about Reiki and how it is necessary for me to understand more so that I would feel comfortable treating a being who already has serious energy issues. Since I believe that "what you believe is what you experience", you can certainly (I hope) understand why this was such an issue for me.

I am delighted with the long response you have replied back with and it will be informacial to other users and benefiting here. You havent broken any rules and its good to see your points in energies, healing so we can all sit down and discuss about it. We're like 1 big reiki community  .  And specially thanks to Mohan - master we owe our warm light too in a friendly way.

I believe that if someone was in serious pain next to you at a mall, park, or some place and had serious pain, and if you decided its wrong to send energies without permission to heal and walked away, then you have left that person in pain. Rather than sending the energies to make the person better and (no harm ever comes from it), you haven't dishonered god/higher source/spirits, but you have relieved someone out of their bad pain.  If reiki was only used for good then whats the point using it, if u decide to not heal the person with serious pain?. (If anyone would like to share this comment on their behalf & point of concern please kindly post

Reiki is used for good and IF, for evil purposes then its impossible. There are non-reiki modalities that are based on types of crystals, charms, tools, i heard of that also require the mind to focus and meditate that i think might be an onset to evil.

So goodluck with reiki and explore the unknown, you never know you might come up with some new discovery within this universal free light energy, just like i have somehow discovered my full wave body energy reviytalize only when i hear out the words of my religion, or when i say out the words.

Thanks Alper, for your kind words and thoughts on Reiki and the spiritual. 

To sum it up?

Reiki is an intelligent energy that ONLY works for the highest good of all concerned.

So, if somebody has tumors, Reiki is NOT going to help them grow, but will help them to diminish (help the being to re-balance energies) just like any other ailment the person might have.

It is also the decision of the being receiving the Reiki energy to accept the energy, or not, whether consciously or at a "soul" level.

If this is all true, then this fits my model of the world very well, and I thank you all and everyone else on the boards who have posted for all the great assistance in learning!

Without our belief in good/evil and that we are separate, we would KNOW that we are never separate and the Source would not be able to experience what was wanted

I have already posted an example about the Yin/Yang symbol although more simply I could say that good and evil are the two faces of one single coin!

Yin/Yang, love/hate, positive/negative, light/dark, assertive/receptive. yes, very similar concepts and so easily misunderstood, especially by ME. 

I like to think love and not love, or harmonious and not harmonious.  In astrology(yet, another one of my many interests ), there are celestial energies that mark the moment of your birth. The theory is that this is a blueprint for your being and one can learn much about the soul's purpose/lessons by studying the blueprint. Study will show what energies are included. How you choose to use these energies is entirely up to the individual. You can choose to have them be beneficial or not. As much as I would like to say that I always use mine for harmonious, I am still working on that 

Still, after that is the concept that it is ALL harmonious, ALL love.... What a concept! The axe murderer, healer, rapist, loving parent, brutal parent, cheating spouse, faithful lover, war monger, peaceful pacifist.... ALL LOVE.....
If it IS all love and evil is ONLY an illusion, then the dis-ease is love, too, in some form. When we can recognize its positive purpose, (I think) Reiki can work even more "miracles".

In fact we are living at a dualistic realm...there are opposites of everything... 
Although it depends from the angle which someone "stands" and viewing...
Someone have to move to as more "angles" to have as much more views-experiences for better understanding of any case...

Firstly I have to say that your interest is realy interesting to me as well!lol.as if I dont have much knowledge about this subject....
I have a question for you...Astrology sais that "there are celestial energies that mark the moment of your birth",Apocryphism sais that the embryo is en-souled at the 7th month, The medical sience sais that the embryo is alive after the 3rd month,and I ask you here how can someone calculate and estimate the exact time that the zodiac affects the embryo?Because the planetic radiation is active on everything that "exists" in this realm from the biggining till the end...So which is the right time of the mark? The time of the conseption?The 3rd month? The 7th month ? or the bithtime?

I agree with you but once more this action depends from the calture and beliefs through and with every individual grows up...

The word love is the most misunderstood! Here in Greece there are words which give different meanings between diffrent kinds of love...
For example there is the pure un-selfish love (the best!)
The love for all creation
The selfish love(the worst!)
The love between mother and child
The love between lovers (emotional-sexual or just sexual"body beauty love or just love for sex!")
The love between teacher and student
The love for god/universe/good/evil etc...
And the list could be continued without an end!

A good example could be the following...
Lets say that someone is really poor with two heavy ill kids which are about to die from cold and hanger...
His neighbor is wealthy rich person who has everything...
One night the poor decides to do something to save his loved ones...He decide to steal some food and medicine from the rich one...
Have in mind that he might have good soul and that he is not a criminal...
So he breaks neighbors window coming in his house to steall ,unfortuantely the owner is awaken from my noise and comes in fight with him...
with as an effect to be severe wounded....

What is the meaning of this story? Who acts with the evil in mind? None!
Every creature of this planet acts like this! Even the murder loves even sickly someone or something!
I dont think that someone can come into a conclusion and have logical results!

Yes, it does sound confusing doesn't it? I have had confusion in understanding these things as well. 
Add this possiblity to the above: Some souls are incarnated at the moment of conception, others all the way up until 2 years of age!?! 
Building an astrological chart of the time of conception is done all the time. Some charts are "rectified" to estimate the time of conception, as well. 

Personally, I use the birth time, if known. If not, I use an "equal house" chart of the Sunrise time for that date and place where the soul was born.  It is my belief that no matter when the soul enters the body, the time of birth is important as a "heavenly" marker of the path of the soul.

Very recently my "high self" instructed me in building a chart using a different zodiac and house structure than I ever used before. It was an eye opening experience for me. So many things that did not make sense to me seemed to be crystal clear in those few minutes.  What I experienced was that I was limiting myself through my belief that only certain things were possible for me (as shown in my birth chart) and by changing my view a whole new, more beneficial world was available to me.

I now believe that what is shown on the birth chart are the energies available to the soul at incarnation, NOT the entire life experience and that as we move past percieved restrictions a whole new way of being exists.  The only limitations we have, come from either the FIRST incarnation Pre-programming of the soul (flaws) by God/Spirit/Etc. or the self-limitation of the soul due to inharmonious energies brought forward from previous incarnations.

The horoscope can help one to see what strengths are there, and what limitations they(the soul) have given themselves and disharmony that needs to be worked out for the expansion of the soul and raising of consciousness.

Of course, these are my 2 cents, and your mileage may vary  What you believe is what you experience. Of course, what I believe today may be different than tomorrow

And I absolutely agree that our culture and environement shape our beliefs, color our world and view about what we are, why we are here, what is possible, etc. There is also the concept of beliefs of the "Collective Consciousness", the belief that part of us that is connected to everyone else and a set of "group beliefs". (Anyone who is not familliar with this concept, google "the hundred monkey syndrome" or "hundredth monkey theory".)
