I also understand, Pradeep, that THC is for specific purpose, however it is very good that members are spreading their knowledge to help each other to be more communicative and in any manner, but if someone wants some other type of help, may post in PM and after that other types of Chat... If we start posting solution of Computer Hardware/Software in this... some purpose will lack... However everyone on THC who is having knowledge of computer h/w or s/w will ready to help sallie... Me too, if I can....

I have an older laptop. I was told that the processor is just old, but I cannot afford a new one. It's very, very slow. Just booting up can take about five minutes or longer, and sometimes when I try to access sites it takes so long that I can't get in.

I've been told the best thing to do is to back up things I want, and then restore it to factory settings. (It's an acer/Aspire 1642WLMI.) It runs on Windows XP.

My concern (and theirs too) is that that it might not work at all if I do that.

Does that give you enough information? I think the laptop (it was given to me after my new desktop simply refused to let me even start up, and was told it's likely my motherboard) is about five years old.

It's a more than adequate enough model.If it is running for 5 years the hardware has no issues unless a recent one like a jammed fan or cooling issues. Place it on a flat hard surface without any cloth or similar soft material
The problem most likely can be the Windows Registry and the viruses; either or both. Over time these systems do need a cleaning job on the software just like us.
Format the system drive & reinstall Windows XP(SP3) seems to be the easiest way out & time saving. will take an hour to 2 hours for a complete installation of Windows & the software.
Wish I was there to help you. Just find a whiz kid around they always love to do this stuff.

Yes Chandresh ji i m Aware about it. ....... but i think that if any one is just away frm THC coz of this kind of problems..its not good. n we have a separate section for this kind of Posts :---> General Chat.

but in my opinion Operation (Formatting) is the last option, if the patient have good stamina n resistance power, we should try some medicines n Glucose drips n alternate healing.

n if there is no positive effect then Operation is the last Option.

I was just reviewig information and noticed that you congratulated my move to junior member ( I have no idea how it missed it, it's in large letters!). Thank you, I appreciate your noticing.

I only hope that I may be able to post information that is as helpful as everyone else's. I learn so much from all of you!

p.s. I recently guided two of my friends to THC. Both are on serious and active quests, spiritually. I know they've both joined and have accepted the Surya Shakti attunements, after seeing how much I am able to use it to help others, and I've done treatments on them, as well. There can never be too many healers with pure intentions, can there?

I respect your opinion on the whole topic.
Agree that the main gist on Meditation got sidetracked,
If I had split the topic & moved it earlier there would have been no reason to complain. I will do so in a day or two.
I myself am irregular so people who are regular must be given little extra freedom as they contributing members. Also most of you new members know me very recently. I cannot be too strict at least in General Chat section.
So In a few days time I will put The Meditation part in the appropriate section Reiki Q & A or Experiences section remaining part will remain here in the general section with a new Title.
