Tashi delek,
I respect your opinion, Pradeep, but I must agree with Steven on this. For me, lineage is critical. When we receive an attunement (or even a treatment), that energy is flowing through and, in a sense, is of our Reiki Master.
It is the Master who produces the attunement, and from whom we must be able to look for wisdom. We are, in a very real sense, attached to our Reiki Master, in this case Mohan.
I have knowledge, and experience. But I always find that the more I learn and practice and treat, the more questions arise, the more knowledge is needed. And while I cherish and read all your posts, all posts here, when I see Mohan's avatar, I get still inside, and I read, and I listen with the honor due to my Reiki Master.
To know his lineage, is to know where my Reiki, my Suryashakti, comes from. And I can meditate on that, and feel that I want to come from gentleness, humbleness, and honor, to reflect Mohan's integrity. Does that make sense? I don't downplay what I know. But I do bow to his knowledge in a way that implies a very deep trust.
I once had a "friend," who let me know he'd given me a "master attunement." I was very sick for weeks, my Guides working on me continually. I don't know what he actually did, but it wasn't good. I hesitated greatly to begin at this site, remembering that incident and how long it took me to heal, spiritually. This is another reason why lineage matters.
And lastly, there are people out there who say they're Reiki Masters, and they "attune people," but they aren't. One receives attunements from one who is capable and trained to do so. Most people don't realize that, and so their Reiki doesn't work. And they're not trained, so make up their own.
Here, we are so fortunate! I am so fortunate. I have you and Steve, and I have Mohan, and others I can read and converse with and learn from. And we share lineage in this way.
I want to take this opportunity to express my deep, deep gratitude and humbleness to all of you. I learn so much from you!
Namaste.
