My library has a copy and I listened to it, but did not take the time to do the 30 minute "long relax" exercise every day. For that matter I don't know anyone who has. My preference has always been just to use brainwave entrainment in the form of binaural beats. It isn't that the techniques don't work; it is more a matter of getting yourself to do it consistently.

Silva Ultramind ESP is a system in which they use guidance & self-hypnosis to train your brain to a deep state of relaxation.
This deep state of relaxation is also called the alpha state in technical parlance. You can further improve it to theta state This levels are when brain reach to very low activity but you are still awake. you can say just a state before you fall asleep

What I'm trying to say is that it is not enough that the techniques work; you have to actually do them if you want to get the results. I found that it was harder to use the Silva Method than it was to use binaurals even when combining the two (theta binaurals while using the technique from the Silva Method) to get the feel for going to level.
