Hello friends and colleges.

Strange thing is happening to me.. I got all the attunements of the different types of reiki in a period of one year (I know it is a short period but I couldn't resist the joy of reiki); usui reiki 3 levels, kundalini 3 levels and 6 boosters, and finally the levels of ayurveda reiki. I read alot and worked more as reiki became my first priority.
Everything was going so well, healing other, self healing.. I had one problem once when I had been attuned for one of the kundalini boosters (I don't remember which one) that I had a backache and a severe pain in the upper joint of right leg, I did balance then and everything became fine except for my stomach which was totally cured after the getting the second level of usui reiki but the I had some problem in it but not so series so it is ok.
Now after getting last level of ayurveda reiki my healing to other is fantastic especially for distance healing.... But... I had the same pain again but this time on the left leg.. I tried daily healing, cleaning, balancing but nothing is happening, healing other continues perfectly... I checked with the doctors, I don't have any physical problem, still I have backache and a severe pain in the upper joint of left leg that I can't walk properly with pain in stomach... It's been two weeks now,I thought about requesting a distance healing but I wanted to check with you people first because think there is something I'm missing.

Hello Saleh,

In my views it would be good to get you scanned by a Reiki expert to see if anything unusual is found in your Aura or energy flow between the Chakra especially Root.

It would be good to continue healing yourself since Reiki is for the highest good for oneself (as per Karma) and do it with a positive intent.

It would also not be a bad idea to show it to a Dr. to understand the problem in medical parlance as well. If nothing else, it might help you phrase your healing intent appropriately.

It is always possible that the pain is a warning sign and it is still there because you need to make changes in your life. Somatics, unlike rolfing and the Alexander Technique, is something that you can typically learn from a chiropractor or a good book and it only takes a few minutes per day even if you want to practice it intently - you can think of it as a warmup for something else like yoga or tai chi. I took a class last year and it helped to reduce my consumption of advil for back pain and headache. It is also possible that your diet needs to be changed since you indicated that your stomach also hurts.

The Title of your post seems a lot stronger than the actual matter!

Sometimes Reiki indicates by means of pain or other signs that there is something that needs attention. Don't always think its Chakra blockage. Medical attention maybe needed. Please do a proper check up.

Most masters say that it is up to the to student to ask for an Attunement if he thinks he is ready for it.
But I am afraid the students interpret it wrongly. To understand & experience a particular modality one needs time. Only when you are very sure move on to the next level.
Some Masters are also afraid that the student Will find a alternate Master. He might loose potential income or maybe its just ego.
For very valid reasons all ancient healing or martial arts give the Mastership after a long period of training. There is lot more to mastership than just receiving an extra symbol or the ability to attune.
A caution to both Masters & Students.
Well this is my view. Others may have different opinions.

Thank you all for your comments which I appreciate so much , but I have few things to say:

First: about the Title of the your post ; I meant to put it this way because it is a real big problem for me, not the pain but another thing I didn’t mention in my post that my country is a bit advanced in the medical side in the region of Middle East and this is a problem that people don’t accept the fact of reiki, I new about reiki from an old friend in Pakistan a year ago and started searching for a reiki master here in Jordan but couldn’t find a one until I chose this site to be my guide and started my journey with reiki. After getting more involved in reiki I found that there some people who deal with reiki in Jordan but they use the word energy and never specify reiki word because unfortunately our people use logic in thinking more than needed, but from my new knowledge I knew it is reiki. So for me still I never met a reiki master in person because of that most of my posts here are about making sure of things that it is done correctly. So couldn’t heal my self was not good for my tries to convenes people around me that reiki is real and a great gift. Please don’t take my words literally because Iam just trying to express myself.

Second : About the periods of getting attunements it was well arranged and I had enough gaps in between because I have a long experience in martial arts ,so it was never a problem for me to choose the right time for receiving the attunement, on the contrary I felt each one of them and all were so fine.

Now about my case I continued healing my self thoroughly and I think Iam getting better.

And as I said before " I checked with the doctors, I don't have any physical problem" ( thanks to you Tom)

I am happy that you are improving.
Reiki continues for you.

The debates about period of attunements will go on. The choice is personal.
You have already accepted the fact in your first post that you have maybe taken one Attunement too many.
But no problem. It is done. Reiki will take care of it. Our experiences are lessons for others. One has to keep on learning how Reiki works.

I don't think advancement in medical science should be a cause in people being shy of accepting Reiki. USA, Japan, India & Germany are much more medically advanced & have accepted Reiki in a big way. One of the Mission of the THC is to make Reiki available to more & more people.

Regarding me repeating my plea to you to have a medical checkup...
Apart from being positive & believing in Reiki, I am entrusted a task of being a Global Moderator on the forum. It is my responsibility to see that all precautions are covered.
Besides the advise given not only covers the concerned individual but also other members who come from various walks of life & have different mindsets.
Your better condition is more important to me than anything else.

I am glad that its only Sciatica disturbance & not anything else.
Honestly the pain symptoms you mentioned are also similar to Appendicitis. I just didn't want to mention it as I was strongly wishing against it.
The abdominal cavity holds a lot of vital organs. Its always good to confirm.
Reiki continues for you.

I do have a Reiki Technique which I learnt in my Usui Reiki 1 class. I don't think you will find it on the internet. So I will start it as a fresh topic in the Reiki section.

Dear Saleh,
You can try the distance method along with visualizing the techniques. It can work.
But there is no substitute in this case for hands on technique. If you are in contact with any Reiki Channel tell them to help. Even a 1 day Reiki fresher will do.
Till then try healing all Chakra points & the joints. here I mean the whole body healing for at least 3 days continuos. This is helpful in all chronic conditions.
Do ty the Accupressure technique on the point on the ear-pinnae & buttocks.
Reiki continues for you.
