How nice and peaceful it is ~ there @ Maharashtra!
Fascinating, how they chiseled buildings out of rock And how practical!

The caves are in a wooded and rugged horseshoe-shaped ravine about 3½ km from the village of Ajinthā. It is situated in the Aurangābād district of Mahārāşhţra State in India (106 kilometers away from the city of Aurangabad). The nearest towns are Jalgāon (60 kilometers away) and Bhusāwal (70 kilometers away). Along the bottom of the ravine runs the river Wāghūr or Waghōrā (from the root vyāghra in Sanskrit, meaning the tiger), a mountain stream. There are 29 caves (officially numbered by the Archaeological Survey of India), excavated in the south side of the precipitous scarp made by the cutting of the ravine, and they vary from 35 to 110 ft. in elevation above the bed of the torrent. Those caves, they look too perfect, as if they were chiseled by ancient man with simple hammer and chisels. I think that these and other monuments on Earth, were made with higher sophisticated technologies rather with primitive tools.

Did you notice, that there is no ruß, the black stuff from torches on the sealings? The same is so, in the great Pyramids of Egypt. What is, if there never were Torches employed, rather electricity! In Egypt, they had electricity and never used torches although, history teaches us that.

Nice work. Great to know somebody from so far interested in our art & culture.
Myself & Mohan live in this beautiful state of Maharashtra. Me in Mumbai on the west coast & Mohan at Amravati in the central part.
These caves at Ajanta lie right in between my place & where Mohan/Rahul live. that is about 300 kms away from either of us.
I had the good luck of visiting this caves when in college. The caves are a world heritage site. The adjoining countryside is beautiful & also houses the state of art Hydro project at Jaikawadi.
Have a look at these places on Google Earth.

Yes, it´s very beautiful there and so peaceful and quiet. I miss this peacefulness and quiet.
Last night, actually, this EARLY Morning, I looked at the New users site and read the Thread of mohan, and where he´s from so I thought, let´s check it out @ youtube. There, you may find almost anything, even Electricity Generators, how to build one ~ that generates Electricity without using Electricity. To have such an Generator, like in India, would be quit good to have, due to the electricity braking down so often. Same like in Canada, the last 2 years, that I used to live there. We too had very often Power surges due to storms and trees falling onto the hydro Power lines.
