It is cute enough, but I expect we will not agree about the meaning of the terms God and truth. We probably also disagree about who / what The Word (Logos) is.

My opinion is that if you have to have an opinion about God or The Word it means that you are experiencing being separate from God. By definition you can't actually be separate from God, so this is clearly a mistaken impression. It would be good to start from the beginning, recognizing that at all times God is with you and you are with God. This is reflected in every experience you have in your life. Throw out all opinions and beliefs. See directly what it actually means to be with God at all times, because this is something you can't avoid. You are doing it right now. The trouble comes from trying to separate out the ordinary experiences from the Divine ones. There is no need to try to stick God into some compartment neatly labelled as being supernatural.

If you really want to know what I think, here it is ... I think you should forget all about God and focus on your own awareness. There is nothing complicated about it. Just watch and be aware of being aware of whatever you happen to be experiencing. This is not merely an opinion. Opinions are great if you want to try to exist at a distance from your own life instead of really being a participant. The nice thing about being able to form opinions is that you don't have to have any real basis for them. Even better, people rarely have to take the time to formulate their own opinions; you can get them ready-to-go from other people who are only too happy to share. It gets on my nerves when people go on about God too much. It sounds like a bunch of virgins talking about what it is like to have sex.

I think one should not worry too much once you put forward a theory about something.
By that I mean this....
don't worry about people not agreeing to you. Each one is entitled to follow whatever he feels right. Its the end result that matters. Also one can easily be wrong as far as theories about God's are concerned.
There is nothing wrong about when people talk about God. The condition is they should not be hypocritical or impose their views.
Whenever one speaks about God(holding the above condition) he starts a positive vibration. And that is not bad.
Frankly speaking nobody disagrees that God is a part of our body & daily fabric in what we do. There is no need for over analysis & theorization. Every religious book says this in way or the other.

It gets on my nerves when people go on about God too much. It sounds like a bunch of virgins talking about what it is like to have sex.

A person who is one with God should not get irritated whatever people talk.
Now isn't that hard to practice but easy to preach.

People can disagree with me all they want. What I find frustrating is finding when I try to explain something that it has not been understood. It lacks closure. If I thought someone completely got what I said and then told me I'm full of crap that would be perfectly fine. It would mean I could stop trying to explain.

Please keep in mind that I am not trying to explain an opinion or a theory. Please keep in mind that I am not merely speculating. What I am trying to explain is a technique for the purpose of having a sort of experience.

Even the experience of being one with God does not completely eradicate impatience and anger. All experiences are temporary; they can leave a mark, but even the mark rubs off if you do not keep following up on it. It is not possible to live your life while in the midst of a full mystical experience. Between experiences the normal human responses apply. Negative seeming emotions can even be greatly intensified. The difference is that you can be okay with being impatient or even angry.

Dear Tom,
But you are not saying anything other then what majority already believes & tries their best to put in to practice.
Nobody is disagreeing with your explanation on being one with God. 
You should have elaborated all at the first time.
Its like you are falling back on practicality from theory. Its tough, man... to see God in everything.
Also please don't try to justify anger. Its wrong in any form. by getting agitated with somebody else's view one looses the gains made by any Godly experience, temporary or permanent.

What I am trying to explain is a technique for the purpose of having a sort of experience.

You are  most welcome to elaborate & explain the technique by starting a different post.
We will sure try it.
I think you reacted to the starting post. That was something to be taken in the spirit it was put forward. It certainly brought a smile to my face and I am sure many.

To begin with, because it is assumed we all mean the same thing when we say God.
