Strange experiences while having Reiki sessions

Hello everybody
By discussing our experiences while doing Reiki practice or while giving a treatment or while attuning others,I believe that all could be helped at some level as lightworkers,students and teachers.I realised to all reiki practioners or other modality practitioners that some experienses are the same.For example the heat at palms,numbness feelings like thousands of pins & needles from energy flow "stucked" eyevision etc.
But everyone(at least I think so!)has experienced something that others had not...
Yesterday I attuned a friend of mine who while receiving the attunement with his eyes closed had very strong symptoms R.E.M his eyes was moving very very fast! after 30 minutes it stopped...And he described that he felt like his eyes was on fire!
I have attuned many people but first time I saw something like that.

At times when i give Reiki i get some strong emotions or thoughts. Earlier I used to ignore but I have now started exploring.
Like once I was giving Reiki to a lady (i had known her only for a day) and kept feeling the urge to give more to the Swadhisthan chakra. When i shared this with her she said she had been trying for the past year to conceive.

I have had similar confirmations since then. I am still a newbie so don't know what to do with this information though... :-)

Oh yes, I too have had this REM experience during an attunement as narrated by my brother who was around.

Tonight here in oz my close friend had this huge back pain somewhere near the heart chakra and sincerely requested me to heal him.  So i begin healing him with the usui reiki energyand he was using the computer.. Many times he was about to fall asleep and fall down i had to regularly wake him up I felt the power so great i healed him for 7 mins flat.

Hello Firstly I want to thank you for sharing your experiences.
Masooma I think that your choice to start exploring these emotions is something really great and it will help you to be more sensitive and to trust  more your intuition to what action is needed each time while having a reiki session or not! 
About your question...at my opinion I think that it could be better for you to not coincide with your patients and bother your mind because Reiki healers are nothing but "plugs" which only connects the Universal energies with the recipients. We are not Gurus or problem solvers!We are just healers!

I hope your friend is allright by now Although  (with your permition I want to say something) my ex-teacher used to say that if the patient fall asleep,any action to wake him up is prohibited because this means that he is full-filled with Reiki energy and the healing session stops right there.As a Reiki class we used to give Reiki until the recipient fell asleep.(rarely he didn't!)

Well I want to share some of mine experienses which taken place a week ago till yesterday.My father has done a surgery at his hernia he is too old and he used to not believe to thinks such Reiki etc.After the surgery while at the hospital bed and allthough 2 painkiller injections was done to him he was still in great pain.He couldn't breath very easy.I asked him if he allows me to try to relief him by giving him Reiki.He said "Do whatever you want my son". I started with Usui Reiki by giving him at the 3rd eye and solar plexus to reduce narcosis.And after I continued with Kundalini Reiki and Ethereal Crystalls.By half an hour he calmed down and fell asleep deeply...While I was giving Reiki to my father two nurses came to the room with an old man who had done a surgery at his coronary artery.He was sighing all the time.I asked him if I have his permition to try to relief him by doing something. (It was alittle bit difficult to explain to him what Reiki is!) He agreed. I was sending to him as long as I was giving to father.Finally he fell asleep too! After an hour I left the room to make a phonecall, both of them woke up and the old man asked my mother "Where is the the young man?As long as I see the youth I forget the pain" I returned back after 10min. I gave them again and the fell asleep again :D. Yesterday my father showed me his left arm where the neddles were while at hospital.His veins were hard and painfull. It was like thrombosis! He was frightened enough. Me too to say the truth! . I gave him Reiki for about an hour when finished a little hardness left and the pain had gone.He told me amazed" How did you do that?"  .Finally yesterday night I attuned my disbeliever father to Kundalini Reiki I. "Better late than never!" Light and Joy to every one I am very happy!

The practitioner just acts as a channel. Reiki energy is smart, it has its own intellect and it usually flows to that part of the body, where it is most needed (Reiki turns itself on automatically).
 

Many people different experiences

Right Alper,
Attunements and Healings are different experience and have different effects on every individual depending on their own ways of living and different places in their spiritual path.
People report many different experiences when they receive Reiki. Some people describe experiencing vivid colours and sensations of energy flowing through the body. Others feel nothing. Some go right to sleep (as you wrote). It most commonly happens with me too.

As you know, Reiki treatment can be a very useful adjunct for anyone taking a course of drugs. It may help to reduce some of the side effects of potent drugs. Reiki helps the body in the recovery after drug therapy, after surgery and after chemotherapy. In all these cases, Reiki nourish the body with extra life force energy and facilitate the body to recover quickly from the load of surgery and chemicals.
Generally, using Reiki after an operation lessens pain and accelerates the natural healing processes.
John, I delighted to read your experiences. Convey my love to dad. I wish him a very fast recovery and sound health.

Dear Mohan I want to thank you for all the informations for your nice words I am sure that they are coming straight from your heart. 
I appreciate that! I will convey your love to my father! 
By the time he is fine and he is telling to all neighbors about this wonderful happening! 
The funny is that my teachers in life( my Dad and Mom ) have become my Reiki students! 
The can feel the energy flow and accept all the positive effects of Reiki in addition with their stubborness and their dogmatic beliefs!
Cristianism and Orthodox religion does recognise Reiki and Healing modalities as magic ! 
What a mess....
Living here in Greece some times is like living in the Dark Ages with witch hunting etc. Anyway this a different and very big story!
