Hello everyone. This is but a simple introduction. 

My name is Shawn.  I am from California, near San Francisco.  I feel that I have been on a path to enlightenment for most of my life without really even knowing it.  It started when I was younger, learning the mythos of many cultures of ancient times.  That lead me to study of more occult teachings.  While this study has always been more of an educational study and not of a practical application, I have always felt there was something more than simple prayer and blind faith in one's god(s).

Most recently, I have been doing much studying in the realm of energy, intention, and quantum thought.  I have been reading voraciously, and assimilating many ideas that all really seem to compliment each other despite how different they try to make themselves.  Currently I am on the path of Ki.  Reiki has intrigued me for sometime now.  Utlizing the universal lifeforce energies to heal and strengthen...  it is all so simplistinc once you think about it.

Through my studies of Reiki, once thing has jumped at me.  The idea that once you are ready, a reiki Master will present their self to you.  Today, I am ready.  I happened to plug the words "energy healing" into google and this forum was brought up in my search.  It was not on the first page of results, but for some reason it was the first one I opened.

It is indeed a signal from the universe.

I think its healthy and wise to look at all aspects of any subject before making an informed decision, after all that's how we grow and learn and get to know ourselves fully.
