guide me

Post by KARTIK »

i am interested most in metaphysics and truely i want to work in that feild.my maximumtime goes in reading spritual text and i am supremely attracted to advaita and vedanta philosophy, when i feel or think working in this feild my energy and concentration increases. i am engineering student right now and belong ot middle class family. so have responseblities too but this feild is attracting me conciously , subconciously. how can i enter this feild? i searched about a university of metaphysics. which universities are best for studyng metaphysics? and what can be the good approaches to enter that feild balancing my life.
thank you :F0

That's the problem. Most of your time should go toward meditation or some form of energy work. Even giving yourself daily reiki treatments for half an hour or an hour every day is much better than studying texts.

If you are determined to study, then learn anatomy and medicine in general. Learn Latin. You can apply what you learn toward massage therapy, Yoga, acupuncture and acupressure, and so on.

The trouble with philosophy is that you have to already be a fully enlightened master to sort out the truth from ancient texts.

Tashi delek,

Kartik, I agree with Tom that meditation is key. It is within meditation that you'll find insights and take spiritual trips that you can't have in other ways.

Metaphysics is a vast, vast field of study. You'll be drawn to the aspects and areas of interest that you need to know in order to continue your journey.

I've been studying aspects of spirituality/metaphysics for most of my life. During the 1980s there was a glut of very "vanilla" stuff in print and in music, as well as trends and fads all calling themselves New Age, with most of it downplaying how intricate it truly is.

So, with that in mind, what are you drawn to? What interests you? What would you like to learn to do, what do you want to know? When you visit a bookstore, what section or type of reading draws you strongly?

In my belief, when you feel strongly compelled to step outside the arena you're used to you're being guided to the next step in your spiritual development. Your inner being/soul knows where you need to learn, where you need balance, where your next leg of the journey lies.

Quest on!

Namaste.
